🎤 Voice Part: Soprano 2

🎀 Role: Wellbeing IC

🌸 Years: 2023–2026

✨ What choir taught me: Confidence, teamwork & leadership.

Choir has truly been one of my favourite parts of secondary school. Beyond performing, it has given me opportunities to lead, collaborate and create memorable experiences with people who share the same passion for music as me.

SYF 2025
Picture this... Standing backstage at SOTA, the butterflies in our stomach fluttering around. One last smile at each other before stepping onto the stage we'd spent months preparing for.

Favourite BTS moment: After one of the full dress rehearsals, my junior suddenly took off her shoe and sniffed it. This made everyone start laughing. She looked at us and chuckled saying "umm I dont know why I did that heh-"

What I walked away with: The core memories we made with each other and a reminder that what matters isnt the destination, it's the journey.

If this had a soundtrack: Hungry Cheer
A CULT CLASSIC cheer sung at every camp had became our unoffical SYF anthem where we would sing it before, during, and long after SYF.
Choir Camp'26
Picture this... A room that was NEVER quiet. At any given moment, be it practices or games, there would always be someone laughing or telling a story. At the end of the camp, if felt less like a CCA and more like one big family.

Favourite BTS moment: Someone started passing their camp booklet around for everyone to sign, and before long the whole choir was doing it.

What I walked away with: A new tradition I hope to bring to my future camps. Sometimes the best memories are the most spontaneous ones.

If this had a soundtrack: Love Is an Open Door-from Frozen
After a long choir practice, our Teacher In-Charge TIC surprised us with ice cream. We turned off all the lights and spent the next hour singing Disney songs together with this song being everyone's instagram story audio that day.
Voices of Singapore
Picture this... Our last performance of the year. One moment we were singing our hearts out on stage, and the next we were rushing to the free photobooth and snack station with our friends.

Favourite BTS moment: At the start of the masterclass before our performance, the bottom of my court shoe's heel decided it was done for the day and started falling apart. I spent the entire rest of the day trying to pretend that nothing was wrong while secretly hoping that it would survive until the end of the day... it didnt...

What I walked away with: VOS reminded me that music is something that brings people together. Whether we were performing on stage or chatting with students during the exchange programme afterwards, every conversation started with the same shared love for singing.

If this had a soundtrack: Ribs - Lorde
This song captures the EXACT feeling of that day, nostalgic and exciting.
open House
Picture this... The school hall being filled with various CCA booths. Curious (and slightly overwhelmed) expressions of the incoming Sec 1s filled the hall as every CCA's members tried to convince the incoming Sec 1s that theirs was the best CCA to join.

Favourite BTS moment: Our recruitment strategy... We showed the incoming Sec 1s photos of the previous batches at Disneyland performing and told them that if they joined choir, they could go to Disneyland too.

What I walked away with: Planning & decorating the booth with the EXCO and speaking to visitors throughout the day taught me how much creativity and collaboration go into making a welcoming first impression.

If this had a soundtrack: Last Friday Night - Katy Perry
The whole day felt so energetic, chaotic and fun. It was the kind of memory that I instantly think of whenever I listen to this song.
